Frequently Asked Questions
Does cosmetic tattooing hurt?
Most clients don’t feel any discomfort as we use a numbing cream before and a numbing gel during the procedure to ensure your comfort.
What is cosmetic tattooing?
Cosmetic tattooing is a semi-permanent tattoo procedure that is done by a trained technician to enhance mainly Brows, Eyeliner and Lips. It is done using a semi-permanent pigment that is very different from the ink used in body tattooing. It is designed to fade over time to allow for face changes, aging and trends.
How long will my tattoo last?
Most people’s tattoo will last between 8 and 18 months. Every effort is made to ensure you get the best out of your procedure, however every skin is different and many things including medications, skin type and health can determine the rate of fading.
Is it just the one visit?
You need two visits 4/6 weeks apart to ensure the longevity of the tattoo. The second visit is also used as a perfecting visit to ensure the clients satisfaction as well as the technicians. Some clients that are on certain medications or that have extremely dry or oily skin may even need a third visit. If this is the case, you must have it done within three months of the perfection visit and it will be charged at a lesser rate.
Is cosmetic tattooing expensive?
It varies a lot in the industry however ‘buyer beware’ has never been more apt. You get what you pay for. We use the highest quality pigments and digital machines on the market and continually do training to upskill in new techniques and latest industry information. Most clients work out with what they spend on brow make ups, eyeliner etc in a year, this is actually a better alternative cost wise. We also offer Afterpay and reduced rates for returning customers having maintenance visits.
How long does the procedure take?
Depending on what you are having done, you should allow two to three hours. This is not all tattooing time. There is a lot of time allocated to the design work and drawing in to ensure the clients happiness and satisfaction. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment.
Is there any downtime?
No, you will be able to resume your normal activities as soon as we are finished. We do ask that you refrain from any sort of exercise for a period of time during the healing process.
